Bordeaux has a range of very different war memorials covering the 1870-1962 period, from the massive World War One ensemble by Eglise St Bruno to the hardly known group commemorating Girondin fighters of the Franco-Prussian War. We will have lunch at 13.00hr at Bistro Regent on Place de la République (set menu of salad, steak/duck/salmon with herb sauce after the Entrecôte fashion).
When, where? How to get there? Meet between 10.00h and 10.30h at 35 cours Pasteur at the MGEN Teachers Club by Musée d’Aquitaine stop of tram B. There are relay parks at Pessac Bougnard, Unitec and Arts-et-Métiers. Bus 16 stops close-by. Buses 1, 5, 11, 20 stop at Victoire. We will take the tram back from St Bruno to Palais de Justice.
