Bowling at Bordeaux Lac – 17 February 2015

A group of 9 hungry people, including the delightful M……………… grandchildren, Elodie and James, arrived at the Apolonia Inter Hotel for lunch. Being Shrove Tuesday we could have had a galette but we all chose from the set menu. Having built up some energy we crossed the road to the modern Bowling and Karting Centre where Brian had organized for us to hire shoes and had booked five bowling alleys. Another thirteen people joined us and we were organized into teams. One of the thirteen was a spectator so we were four teams of four and one of five!!! Competition was fierce and much whooping was heard when someone got a STRIKE (of which there were several during the afternoon). Elodie and James, were fortunate enough to have sides elevated in their alleys during their turns, which could have helped some of the older generation – had we been allowed!! The overall winner was Nicholas A (does height have something to do with skill in bowling) followed very closely by Bjarne. Thank you Brian for a fun filled and well organized event!
