Join us for a Wine Tasting followed by a Platter Lunch at Chateau George 7 near Libourne.
Chateau George 7 is owned by Sally Evans a British lady who is following her life-long dream to produce wine. Sally has lived and worked in France for over 25 years. After a career at a global consulting company in Paris then Nice, and with the family having flown the nest, it was the time to follow her dream. Sally started to study WSET (Wine and Spirits Education Trust) wine courses and travelled to Bordeaux to explore the city and its appellations.
That’s when she discovered Fronsac, an appellation with a fascinating history and the potential for great quality wine. It’s a hidden gem that should not be hidden! So, 5 years later, Sally has achieved the creation of a new château in the village of Saillans and a renovated property nestled in a parcel of vines.
We will meet from 11.15hr with the visit round the Chateau starting at 11.30hr. Following the visit we will enjoy a wine tasting of her excellent Fronsac wines, two reds and a white followed by a leisurely lunch in the tasting room or on the terrace overlooking the vines. Served on platters with a selection of meats, cheeses and veggies served with local bread and home-made condiments. Sally’s wines by the glass/bottle & soft drinks are available to purchase. Afterwards relax and enjoy the view or take a stroll around the vineyard.
The cost for the visit, tasting and platter lunch is just 15 euros per person and payable on the day, for further information please contact Deirdre Rankin at firstname.lastname@example.org or register on helloasso by clicking on the following link.
