The Route
The tour will start at the newly opened Salt Marsh Reserve close to La Teste Port and we shall cycle across the Reserve to Aiguillon and the Arcachon Ports.
Then on a new boardwalk along the main beach, past the town centre and jetties, then rounding the ‘corner’ to Pereire beach.
We shall then head south through a lovely beach side park to le Moulleau. We shall then head inland, slightly uphill on cycle tracks alongside lovely residential roads, and then downhill through a large park, crossing the main road and returning to the Salt Marsh.
The circuit is about 12km, on cycle tracks and mainly flat !
Lunch and Refreshments
We shall stop for lunch/refreshments en route.
Meeting Time
We meet in the Salt Marsh car park at 10.45.
Note that lycra is not prohibited but if you indulge then you are most likely to be very much on your own !

Directions
Even with GPS, driving in le Teste town is a disaster!
I recommend you follow directions to Arcachon via A63 from Bordeaux, then A66, which becomes N250 (the Voie Rapide).
Continue past le Teste, and look for a distinctive roundabout (the sixth!) which has a tall triangular section metal ‘spike’ sculpture in the middle.
Turn right signed to Aiguillon and le Teste Port, you will shortly cross the railway line and reach your final roundabout where you turn right to the Port.
Continue along Avenue du General Leclerc, passing the salt marsh, and you will see a new large car park, our meeting place, on your left, before the traffic lights.
