Palais Rohan (Town Hall visit) Bordeaux – 29th April 2015



A unique opportunity to discover the history and secrets of Palais Rohan on an exclusive BBC guided tour. Step back in time and learn about the old Archbishop’s palace – dating back to the early middle-ages and now the home to Bordeaux Town Hall. Explore present day magnificent Reception/State and Municipal Council rooms.

Before exploring the palace we shall meet for lunch at 12.00 at the nearby Irish Pub Connemara, Cours Albret 14-18. The lunch menu will be Entreé/ Plat or Plat/ Dessert with a glass of wine or beer and coffee for Euros 15€ per person.


The tour starts at 14.15 hrs. and will last for about an hour. The cost including English speaking guide is 5€ per person. After the visit we take a short look into the adjacent gardens with architectural explanations by our own very knowledgeable member Alain M.
