Living in the Bordeaux region we all know about what comes out of barrels!! Now let’s find out how the barrels are made?
We have a visit planned to the Barrel Maker Nadalié at Ludon-Médoc. Established in 1902, Nadalié has a worldwide reputation for quality and works with partner Nadalié companies in Argentina, Australia, Chile, Italy and USA.
The tour, in English, will start at 10:30 and will around an hour. Following the tour we will have lunch in their very nice ‘Restaurant le 1902’ attached to the tonnellerie. Lunch will be 25€ for a three course meal with choices which need to be made with Norma C before 28th April. The menu choices will be sent when you make your booking.
To get more details on the tonnellerie and restaurant go to www.nadalie.fr . There is a cost of 9€ per person for the visit and a degustation of the wine made by the Nadalié family.
We will meet outside the main entrance at 10.15. Please enrol with Norma C or book on-line below. We need to know final numbers one week in advance but please enrol as soon as you can.
To get to the tonnellerie follow the D2 north from Bordeaux passing through Blanquefort and Caychac. Continue up the D2 leaving a large LeClerc to your right. Stick with the D2 going straight on at a roundabout signed to Ludon Médoc to your right. You will start to pick up signs for Tonnnellerie Nadalié at this point. Continue on the D2 for another couple of kilometres and at anther roundabout you will see the tonnellerie to your right. GPS 44°59’18” North – 00°37’10” West. Journey time 46 minutes from Bordeaux.
