Following a very welcome event suggestion from one of our members, we are very happy to propose a morning of gathering vine cuttings, or “fagotage“, at Chateau Kirwan near Margaux on Tuesday 18th March 2025.
Lunch will be in the form of a bring and share picnic in the Chateau grounds, weather permitting, or inside the wine “chai“. Also a visit of the “chai” is being planned.
This event is being organised in conjunction with the Association Les Sarments Solidaire, who for many years have collected vine cuttings from several chateaux in the region. The vine cuttings, or “sarments, are then sold with all the proceeds going mainly to charities that specialise in children’s health.
Please join us in thanking BBC member Robert Tilbury for his excellent event suggestion.
More information about the event will be following soon but in the meantime why not check out the Les Sarments Solidaires website here : https://les-sarments-solidaires.saintmedardasso.fr/
More information will follow soon but please note the date in your diary for this special outdoor event !!
