VIRTUAL PUB QUIZ (using Zoom) at 18hrs on the 3rd March, 2021

The Virtual Pub Quizzes have become a regular fun event and take place on a weekly basis every Wednesday evening at 18h and lasting about 45 minutes to 1 hour max.
Widen your horizons! eg When did Switzerland join the UN? 1952 or 1972 or 2002? You never know when you need to have that fact ready to drop into the conversation and impress everyone or to kill the conversation or maybe both!!
Even though lockdown has been eased, BBC quizzes are still continuing.

For this pub quiz you will need:
u  Paper
u  Pen
u  Drinks & Snacks (to make it feel like a pub)

You will also need a computer or tablet that has a video camera installed and speakers/ headphones.  This will use the Zoom video calling software.  To do this you will need to download the app – if you use the link below for the pub in advance it will take you through to a page to help you download the software needed.

If you are not sure about this you can email Claire Simes (clairejsimes@gmail.com) in advance with your phone number and she will call you to help get you set up.

WHAT TO EXPECT
On the day we may have to limit the number of teams online (a team can be as many people as are self-isolating in one house – stay safe) so if you want to join in please log in promptly at 6pm.  The event will last for about 30 minutes (if only all trips to the pub were so swift!)

LOGIN DETAILS:  Please consult the BBC Newsletter for the ZOOM session logon details. These are published for each quiz scheduled that month and can be found by scrolling down to the end of the event announcement section.  These details include a MEETING ID and a PASSWORD which should be entered when joining the quiz.  You may be asked to wait in a ZOOM Waiting Room before being allowed in by the quiz administrator, who will have been advised that you are there.
