We are organising a visit to Le Teich ornithological reserve on Monday 6th April. This is a protected, nature reserve of some 110 hectares of wooded areas, reed beds, meadows and salt marches hosting wild birds by the Bay of Arcachon. Bring a packed picnic lunch, not forgetting your picnic blanket and chairs.
We will meet at 10h30 in the parking area. The walk is approx 6Km and on level defined pathways. There are viewing areas and platforms along the route and toilet facilities at the start and part way along the root. Don’t forget your binoculars to spot the varied birdlife and possibly even some baby storks popping their heads out of the nests.
There is an entrance fee of 9.40€ for adults and 7.20€ for children. Adult fee would be less if we have a group of 15 adults or more.
