Arcachon Visit & Lunch in Market Square Tuesday 4th June 2019

Here is an opportunity to visit or re-visit the “winter town” of Arcachon and discover the history of the ” Parc Mauresque” and some of the old “villas” which made  Arcachon such a popular resort.

We will gather in the market square at 10 am where, Christine, the organiser of this event will give us some information on the history of the market.  We will then walk over to the lift at the foot of the high quarter, ride up and enjoy a leisurely guided tour of the park and the elegant villas in this area .

We will make our way back to the market in the beautifully restored square and settle down to lunch outside or inside the covered market depending on the weather!!

The menu following the visit of Arcachon “winter town” will be a bit of a surprise because as it will take place in the market, it will depend on what is available and fresh on the day! There will be a choice of fish or meat with the day’s vegetables, cafe gourmand and wine, all for the price of 20 euros per person. When you book, please indicate your choice of main course.

Following lunch you are free to explore Arcachon, shop, sunbathe on the beach, stroll along the Bassin, go home or whatever else takes your fancy!
