Who are We?
The Bordeaux British Community is a long-established social association for English speakers in Bordeaux, the Gironde and beyond. We are an Association registered in France and run by the membership for the enjoyment of the membership.
We organise a full programme of varied activities where you will be able to meet people, share experiences, get to know the area more and enjoy yourselves!
Who are the Members?
For historical reasons our Association is called the Bordeaux British Community but our membership is now multi-national and includes nationals of Denmark, China, France, Germany, Netherlands, UK etc etc. All nationalities are most welcome to join and enjoy the benefits of BBC membership.
Our members are also from all age groups and we all share a common ability of being able to communicate in English and a desire to enjoy ourselves.
Where are the Members?
Our membership area includes Bordeaux but also covers all parts of the region surrounding Bordeaux – from within the Rocade out to north Médoc, into Les Landes and inland to the Dordogne. Our activities take place across the region.
What do we have in common?
The ability to communicate in English. A desire to appreciate the area, to relax, chat and enjoy a very wide range of activities.
What do we get up to?
